Christian Dior Perfumes is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Makeup Marketing to lead the development and execution of strategic marketing programs for our Makeup business in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth objectives, meeting sales targets, and contributing to overall corporate profit through new product launches and ongoing support of basic business within a given budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for the Makeup category, focusing on topline growth and increasing market share and rank.
  • Lead launch programs, including adapting launches for the North American market, forecasting launch quantities, and managing full 360-launch plans, including budget, visual weeks, merchandising, sampling, and account-specific adaptation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on the execution of PR, education, events, media support, and co-op programming.
  • Work with the Makeup Marketing team to develop a seasonal marketing calendar to maximize launches and strategic focus, ensuring ongoing updates and communication of the calendar.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Central Marketing team and MOPS team, communicating regularly to outline market-specific needs, provide feedback on launches, and analyze category performance with U.S.-specific needs.
  • Issue quarterly trend reports, including NPD competitive information, new product launches, and social media trends.
  • Collaborate closely with e-retail and sales teams for all product copy, assets, forecasting, and planning.
  • Ensure that creative and purchasing processes are tracked closely and adhere to set timelines.
  • Build and revise annual budgets, reconciling monthly actuals to budget spending to ensure spending is on target.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales Administration to develop accurate and strategic forecasts for new products, recommending adjustments to basic business forecasts based on new product projections.
  • Take a proactive approach toward saleable and non-saleable inventory, ensuring correct inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks and excess inventory.
  • Track retail sales monthly and overall product performance to anticipate and react to changing market conditions.
  • Ensure testers and merchandising units are forecasted according to usage and budget to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize out-of-stocks and excess inventory.
  • Work with Education to evolve the marketing strategy and its implementation in seasonal seminars.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional groups, including Sales, Education, Merchandising, Creative, PR, and Finance, to enhance achievement of objectives and ensure all teams are informed of marketing plans and changes.
  • Spearhead the development of seasonal sales sell-in materials.
  • Prepare and present product marketing calendars and support programs at seasonal Sales Conferences.
  • Prepare and present seasonal marketing calendars and programs to all retailers twice per year, developing working relationships with retailers to maximize growth and meet retailer-specific needs.
  • Spearhead all procedures, forms, analyses, and reports critical to the execution of marketing plans.
  • Propose retail-pricing recommendations for all new products and price increases on existing SKUs.
  • Liaise frequently with Operations to ensure all programs arrive on time, highlighting any potential issues to management.
  • Complete other projects, analyses, or job-related activities on a timely basis as assigned.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Marketing experience in the beauty industry, specifically in a North America local affiliate market working with product development teams abroad.
  • Color experience required.
  • Prestige makeup experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, oral and written presentation skills, and excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit a keen ability to be proactive and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Highly analytical with strong forecasting and budget experience.
  • Strategic thinker, influencer, consensus builder, and excellent team player.
  • A proven and successful people-management track record.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and issues with discretion and judgment.

This is a hybrid position, working in the office 4 days per week.
