Job Title: Director of Development

Communities United for Police Reform (CPR) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development to lead our resource mobilization and philanthropic advocacy efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support CPR's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a multi-year development plan to project and raise annual budget goals.
  • Provide oversight and management of systems and processes for effective identification, tracking, and engagement with donors and prospects.
  • Coordinate and support CPR's Managing Director, Steering Committee, and others in fundraising efforts.
  • Research, develop, submit, track, and steward proposals for foundation prospects.
  • Develop and manage individual donor fundraising campaigns, including major donor campaigns and crowdfunding.
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and implementation of special events, including galas, house parties, and donor cultivation events.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience leading and managing multi-tiered successful fundraising campaigns and efforts.
  • Demonstrated success at raising $800K - $1M+ annually from a mix of individuals, events, appeals, and foundations.
  • Excellent writing and research skills, including an ability to write well, quickly, and within deadlines.
  • Strong track record with budget development and monitoring.
  • Strong interpersonal, management, and facilitation skills, including experience coordinating teams and facilitating meetings towards action.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $95-105K, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
