First Chicago Insurance Company (FCIC) is excited to announce the establishment of a new Claims office.

We are currently in search of seasoned Auto Bodily Injury Claims Specialists to contribute to our growing team.

The selected candidate will take charge of investigating and resolving automobile bodily injury claims. This role involves handling intricate liability claims that necessitate comprehensive investigation and verification, as well as managing casualty claims that may involve severe injuries leading to prolonged disability or litigation regarding coverage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and determine the appropriate course of action for each assigned file, leveraging technical expertise to support the final resolution of claims.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations and maintain precise documentation of all file activities, including coverage, liability status, and applicable damages.
  • Process bodily injury and coverage claims in alignment with established office protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with third parties, plaintiff counsel, and senior management to ascertain necessary investigations related to injuries and coverage.
  • Research relevant case law and statutory regulations to ensure thorough claim investigations.
  • Document policy details, coverage, liability, and damages for all claims, and communicate with re-insurers on qualifying cases.
  • Prepare and present evaluations of claims for the appropriate settlement authority.
  • Manage expenses effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in casualty claims is essential.
  • Familiarity with legal and medical terminology is required.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Ability to pass written examinations as mandated by state regulations to obtain a claims adjuster license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
