Job Summary

Boeing is seeking a skilled Associate Structures Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a key member of our production and maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aircraft structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation of critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
  • Locate and drill blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure.
  • Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modifications and repairs.
  • Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair of structural parts.
  • Determine functionality of basic electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
  • Knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repairs.
  • Assist other team members to ensure cost/schedule targets are met.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience working with non-porous metals, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless.
  • 4+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • 4+ years of experience using structures hand tools, such as drills, pancake adapters, countersink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.
  • 4+ years of experience working with heavy structures, locating, drilling, countersinking, and fastening structures to aircraft.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with depot-level/heavy structures maintenance.
  • Experience with executive fleet aircraft maintenance and operations.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding-type electric-powered elevating equipment.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option (San Antonio, TX).
