CPS Investigation Senior Case Worker

This position serves as a lead worker investigating child abuse referrals, assessing the risk and safety of the child, and taking appropriate action. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, youth, and families, as well as partnering with community service providers.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate CPS investigations, assessing the safety of and risk to children of the family who are the subject of a CPS referral.
- Conduct CPS investigations, completing the safety assessment tool, conducting interviews of involved parties, and notifying family of investigation decision, disposition, and rights to an administrative review.
- Provide quality practice in the completion of CPS investigations and continuous protective services in accordance with the Protective Services Division policies and procedures.
- Complete required documentation on assigned cases into the FACTS system.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Family Studies from an accredited college/university.
- One year of experience in social work/case management, behavioral health, or healthcare.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to furnish a personal vehicle for carrying out assignments.
