Job Title: Social Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Sandia Resort & Casino. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing and/or coordinating psycho-social services for health center clients, in accordance with HIPAA and other pertinent regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducts risk and safety assessments, psychosocial and mental health assessments, and strengths and needs assessments to determine psycho-social service needs of clients.
  2. Provides culturally responsive psycho-social case management services for health center clients in accordance with all policies, programs, funding, and traditions.
  3. Works in an integrated care environment providing psycho-social case management to behavioral health and primary care clinician's clients.
  4. Creates comprehensive case management plans for clients.
  5. Coordinates investigations of allegations of abuse and/or neglect of children, elders, and vulnerable adults.
  6. Coordinates a multi-disciplinary response team that includes law enforcement, the courts, and BIA social services to address adult and child welfare related issues.
  7. Provides parenting classes.
  8. Works with tribal and other courts to ensure adherence to the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).
  9. Coordinates kinship care program.
  10. Facilitates parent/child/relative visitation.
  11. May be required to testify in court to present recommendations of the Social Services Team.
  12. Plans and Coordinates the Annual Child Abuse Prevention Fair.
  13. Develops and implements psycho-social prevention groups and activities.
  14. Conducts social service-related outreach, including psycho-educational presentations to children, youth, adults, and elders, in community and clinical settings.
  15. Performs counseling and crisis intervention as necessary.
  16. Maintains record of counseling and social work services provided by documenting services provided in the Electronic Health Record.
  17. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  18. Collaborates and coordinates with health center and other internal Pueblo of Sandia departments in the provision of social services to clients.
  19. Coordinates with external organizational entities involved in the provision of psychosocial and mental health services.
  20. Provides internal and external referrals for needed services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Valid and Current New Mexico LISW or LCSW License.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed indoors.
  • Flexible schedule to allow for at least one evening per week to see clients and occasional weekend commitments.
  • Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke; diseases; cuts bruises, burns, common cold, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
