Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Credit Management Team: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing credit management culture and team.
  • Develop Credit Policy: Develop and administer a relevant and sound credit policy that integrates with the bank's growth, safety, and market plans.
  • Underwriting and Credit Monitoring: Oversee and guide an effective underwriting, credit monitoring, and credit grading program.
  • Lead Credit Committee: Lead the bank's credit committee on behalf of the CEO and bank credit committee Chair.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Responsible for compliance of all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the granting and administering of all commercial and consumer credit.
  • Advisory Role: Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on matters of importance and strategy.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Security and Confidentiality: Maintain necessary security and confidentiality of client and bank information.
  • Problem Credit Workout Planning: Develop and administer effective problem credit workout planning.
  • Risk Management: Assist Risk Management leaders in developing and communicating to key stakeholders, including board of directors and regulators.
  • Operational Efficiency: Work in partnership with Chief Lending Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Chief Operations Officer to operate the bank efficiently and profitably.
  • Community and Relationship Development: Involvement in community and relationship development activities on behalf of the bank.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (6 hours of accounting preferred).
  • Experience: 10 or more years of commercial credit experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Credit Underwriting: Excellent credit underwriting skills, including familiarity with C&I and real estate lending.
  • Technology Awareness: Strong technology awareness and skills.
  • Communication: Ability to develop and present information in varied mediums.
  • Leadership and Team Building: Strong interpersonal leadership skills and team building.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively and build professional relationships.
