Neurology Faculty Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applications for a faculty role in veterinary neurology at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. This position is available in a clinical (non-tenure) track, tenure track, or tenured capacity.
Departmental Context:The Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery is comprised of a dynamic team of 50 faculty members, alongside clinical residents and interns. The department provides a collaborative environment with shared laboratory space and dedicated research support.
Research and Clinical Opportunities:The successful candidate will be part of a specialized neurology service that supports the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This role includes engaging in clinical practice, mentoring residents, and participating in ongoing research initiatives. Faculty members will have access to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.
Teaching Responsibilities:Teaching is a significant aspect of this position, with opportunities to educate veterinary students and house officers. The neurology service contributes to the veterinary curriculum, offering comprehensive training in neurology.
Qualifications:Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree and should have completed or be in the process of completing an approved residency in veterinary neurology. Board certification or eligibility for board certification is required.
Expectations:The faculty member will be expected to develop a robust research program, which may be independent or collaborative, while fulfilling teaching and clinical service responsibilities.
