About the Department:The Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery is comprised of a dynamic team of faculty, residents, and interns. The department actively collaborates with other academic units to enhance educational and research opportunities.
Position Summary:The Department invites applications for a faculty position in small animal orthopedic surgery at various academic ranks. Responsibilities include:
- Teaching and providing clinical services in orthopedics within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
- Instructing veterinary students in didactic and laboratory settings.
- Training surgical residents and developing a robust research program.
Salary and rank will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Additional Requirements:Candidates should have completed or be nearing completion of a residency accredited by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) or the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS), and must be board certified or in the process of obtaining certification.
Preferred Qualifications:Possession of a State of Georgia Veterinary License or Veterinary Faculty License is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
