Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Sales Engineer specializing in technical solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive, passion, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Experience: Bring 5-10 years of experience in sales, particularly with technical products such as OEM components or machinery tailored for large, intricate clients.
  2. Revenue Growth: Focus on expanding revenue streams while managing both strategic and daily interactions with major accounts. Understand and service existing customer requirements while identifying new opportunities to enhance their experience.
  3. Quoting Expertise: Provide accurate quotes for technical products, often requiring customization to meet specific client needs.
  4. Technical Acumen: Maintain a working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles. While not mandatory to be a licensed Professional Engineer, a solid understanding is essential for translating customer requirements into engineering designs and manufacturing processes.
  5. External Communication: Collaborate with large OEM clients to comprehend their unique product and delivery requirements. Share timelines and assist in prioritizing order deliveries.
  6. Internal Communication: Convert customer needs into product specifications, manufacturing timelines, and shipping documents. Act as the customer advocate within Engineering, Manufacturing, and Accounting departments.
  7. Performance Metrics: Be results-oriented, understanding the importance of performance-based metrics and striving to achieve set goals.
  8. Emotional Intelligence: Exhibit patience and high emotional intelligence, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with challenging individuals.
  9. Process Improvement: Show a passion for enhancing processes, establishing new policies, and ensuring their implementation.
  10. Creative Problem Solving: Approach challenges as opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  11. Technical Proficiency: Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly for managing project deliveries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is highly regarded.
  • 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing sales or a similar industry.
