Job Title: Project Management Assistant
Location: National Harbor, MD (On-site)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm (90 days)
Salary: $20-$25/hr., depending on experience
Cloudforce is in search of a Project Management Assistant to facilitate the organization and execution of various small to medium-sized projects and initiatives. These projects will encompass both IT engineering tasks as well as administrative coordination, internal project oversight, and support for the PMO office.
The Project Management Assistant will collaborate closely with the PMO and engineering teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects by acting as the intermediary between Cloudforce personnel and stakeholders. Daily responsibilities in this role will include administrative coordination of project activities, maintaining project agendas, notes, and schedules, and managing the PMO's project management software, ClickUp.
The ideal candidate will actively contribute to client relations, utilizing exceptional communication skills to provide structure and clarity throughout the project lifecycle. This individual should demonstrate professionalism and confidence, value self-awareness and personal development, and possess a meticulous management approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Program and Project Managers in executing larger-scale projects as needed.
- Deliver weekly project reporting, including budgets, status updates, metrics, milestones, risks, and other relevant factors.
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Support PMO staff with responsibilities such as meeting coordination, documentation creation, and resource management.
- Help manage a documentation repository for internal PMO and client-facing materials.
- Create and update documentation to support the PMO and project needs, or as assigned based on client or team requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the PMO's project management application (ClickUp).
- Assist technical staff in breaking down projects into manageable tasks and clear timelines.
- Serve as an onsite representative for key client meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding and highly professional communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Confidence and professionalism to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
- Strong customer service and collaboration abilities.
- Capability to act as a liaison, onsite representative, and facilitator for Cloudforce, as well as a backup for the Project Management team.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- One or more years of experience in project support.
- Familiarity with industry-standard project management principles and terminology (CAPM, PMP, Agile, or other frameworks).
- Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools (such as ClickUp, Trello, MS Project, Planner, Airtable, Teams, Jira, SharePoint, etc.).
