Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Grant Specialist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the financial status of grants, analyzing expense reports, and collaborating with external departments to ensure accurate accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare research grant applications in compliance with internal and external agency guidelines
  • Work with various departments to obtain cost data and prepare budgets
  • Coordinate and monitor accounting and budget systems for grants
  • Act as a liaison between Principal Investigators, Research Administration, and Fund Accounting
  • Review contracts and agreements to ensure financial reporting obligations are met
  • Stay up-to-date with agency and HFHS guidelines
Requirements
  • College coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Knowledge of Excel or similar software packages
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three to four years of relevant experience
  • Analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
