Key Responsibilities for the Senior Java Developer:

The developer oversees the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of various Java platforms, including architecture, design, development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release management. This role requires strong technical and analytical abilities to comprehend business processes and convert them into technical workflows for implementation. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and testing projects within tight deadlines.
  • Executing a wide range of UNIX commands and scripts.
  • Testing web services and creating automated test scripts using tools like SoapUI.
  • Collaborating with teams across different locations.
  • Participating in all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience.
  • Proficiency in Web Programming: Java, Java Beans, Java Servlets, JavaScript / Angular JS or React, Java J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Spring Boot, and JMS. Familiarity with application servers such as Tomcat and WebSphere, as well as data modeling and database design using Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience with XML and JSON.
  • At least 3 years of experience with applications supporting Compliance, including KYC, Sanction Screening, and Transaction Screening.
  • Familiarity with workflow engines like BPM, Appian, jPBM, and rules engines such as ODM or DROOLS is a plus.
  • Experience in system architecture and design.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with RDBMS.
  • Experience with Postman or similar tools.
  • Effective communication skills within and outside the development team.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior developers or contractors on a project basis.
  • Ability to serve as a technical lead and mentor, providing technical support and leadership in service development and improvement.
  • Leading technical planning and requirements gathering phases, including estimation, development, testing, project management, architecture, and delivery.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrating adaptability and the ability to work with team members of varying experience levels.
  • At least 3 years of experience in test strategy and plan definition, scenario and script development, and managing User Acceptance Testing.
