Position Summary:
The Financial Monitoring Group (FMG) within the Supervision, Regulation and Credit (SRC) department is seeking a dedicated quantitative analyst to assist in evaluating consumer credit risk across major banking institutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in consumer credit dynamics, coupled with the analytical skills necessary to interpret complex datasets and convey insights effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in qualitative assessments of industry models as part of the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) process.
- Analyze consumer credit trends by monitoring key performance indicators to identify potential risks for regulatory examiners and modelers.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to produce comprehensive reports, which include data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in various departmental and system-wide projects that require moderate to high levels of analytical expertise.
- Uphold effective communication and time management skills, contributing to departmental objectives and quality initiatives.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, or statistics is required, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in banking, supervision, or finance is essential.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Tableau) is preferred, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Skills Required:
- Intermediate communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to conduct root-cause analysis and identify emerging risks within the financial sector.
