Job Summary

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care to neonates in the ICU setting. This position requires a skilled professional who can provide comprehensive physical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans in collaboration with the Division of Neonatology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care to acute, critical, complex chronically ill, and well neonates
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Perform acute resuscitation, on-going multidisciplinary medical management, and transitional care to sub-acute and lower level neonatal units
  • Offer psychosocial support and health education to infants, children, and their families
  • Function as a clinical leader, educator, researcher, and consultant in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
  • California RN License
  • NP Furnisher, State of CA
  • NRP Advanced Provider (AAP)
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Nurse Practitioner, CA
  • Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services
  • National Neonatal NP Certification, obtained within 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 Years of Experience in Neonatal ICU
  • NRP Instructor (AAP)
  • Ped Adv Life Support Prov(AHA)
Compensation

The expected hiring range for this position is $74.51 to $102.45. Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
