Job Summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Magnet designated organization, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of neonatal nursing.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide primary care for high-risk neonates, collaborate with attending neonatologists, and participate in educational programs for patients and families. They will also direct patient care for neonates, manage a caseload of critically ill neonates, and act as a liaison with other medical center departments and community agencies.

Requirements

Must be a graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program. California Registered Nurse (RN) license, California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license, and Furnishing License Certification are required. National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Five (5+) or more years of NICU RN experience, work experience in an Academic Medical Center, PICC certification, and Spanish language proficiency are preferred.

Work Environment

Work locations are primarily UC San Diego Health's Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla and Hillcrest Medical Center. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Compensation

The annual full pay range is $221,265 - $221,265 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). The hourly equivalent is $105.97. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
