Nurse Practitioner - NICU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a leading hospital in San Francisco, CA.

The NICU is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to critically ill infants. As a Nurse Practitioner in this unit, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and support families during a challenging time.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with newborns and their families. A minimum of one year of recent Neonate NP experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or recent completion of a Neonatal ICU Fellowship is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill infants in the NICU
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and treat patients as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit operations
Requirements:
  • NNP-BC certification
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization
  • Minimum one year of recent Neonate NP experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or recent completion of a Neonatal ICU Fellowship
  • Current national certification
  • Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California
  • Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner
  • Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice
