Position Overview

The COBRA Administration Expert serves as a vital resource for clients and COBRA participants, ensuring effective management of COBRA Administration services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional and prompt assistance to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong communication abilities through various channels including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Engage in the implementation of new business processes.
  • Provide precise and timely answers to all inquiries.
  • Handle qualifying events, participant terminations, and necessary updates.
  • Address COBRA administration service challenges in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Inform COBRA participants about regulatory obligations concerning grace periods and processes.
  • Manage premium payment processing.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing COBRA-related communications.
  • Achieve or surpass established performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of Open Enrollment activities.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or training is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with COBRA and federal regulations is essential.
  • Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, HRIS, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.
