Kent, Washington, United States Stoke Inc Full time

A thriving economy in space is crucial for a more vibrant and sustainable life on Earth. Space technology will enable global access to information, solutions to climate change, and answers to global food security. Today, rocket launch options are slow, expensive, and unreliable. Stoke is building the world's most efficient fully and rapidly reusable rocket designed to fly daily, increasing access to space and opening up the space economy to safeguard our precious home, Earth.

Reusable systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space.

You will seek out state-of-the-art analysis techniques and tools and develop company standards for analysis methods.

You will work in a small, well-supported team with access to the resources you need to get the job done right while boosting your skills at a pace that can't be matched in most other roles.

You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build system level thermal models of the launch vehicle and engine assemblies.
  • Perform engineering analysis to trade and down select competing launch vehicle designs.
  • Own budgets of flight propellant and pneumatic commodities.
  • Execute test campaigns to characterize new materials and designs.
  • Communicate design details and requirements to hardware designers.
  • Review test and flight data to anchor models and troubleshoot problems.

What We Offer:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Equity opportunities

Compensation:

  • Estimated annual salary: $120,900 - $181,300 (Level 3), $147,700 - $221,600 (Level 4), $177,300 - $265,900 (Level 5)
