The Challenge
Todays rocket launch options are slow, expensive, and unreliable. Stoke Inc is building the world's most efficient fully and rapidly reusable rocket designed to fly daily, opening up the space economy and safeguarding our precious home, Earth.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to own the mission architecture, integrate multidisciplinary subsystems for a launch vehicle and/or spacecraft, and ensure all parts work together to meet customer objectives.
You will work across the product lifecycle from early concept development through vehicle integration and operations. To succeed, you should be organized, a good communicator, and excellent at identifying and solving problems related to complex systems integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual system architecture, concept of operations (ConOps), and functional capabilities meeting customer objectives.
- Negotiate interfaces between stakeholders and ensure they are documented and up-to-date.
- Estimate vehicle loads and environments, and develop plans to validate estimates.
- Manage changes to requirements, interfaces, and designs throughout the development process.
- Facilitate and document system safety analyses in coordination with the design team.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package including a base salary ranging from $120,900 to $181,300 per year, depending on experience and level. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, flexible scheduling, and equity.
