Job Summary

The House Attendant is a vital member of the Highgate team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas and equipment. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, including guestrooms, public spaces, and equipment.
  • Deliver items to guestrooms, such as linens, towels, and amenities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as buffing marble floors and shampooing carpets.
  • Handle lost and found items, and ensure that all guest property is returned to its rightful owner.
  • Participate in emergency procedures, such as evacuations and fire drills.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
