Tempus Unlimited Inc. is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently. We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance department.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, operating accruals, and prepaid expense accounts.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets subledger and record monthly depreciation expense.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly Summary Income Statement and Balance Sheet, and monthly Detail Program Profit + Loss Statements.
- Prepare Quarterly and Annual Census Reporting, and organize the storage of support information.
- Contribute to the Annual Agency External CPA Audit by performing various Balance Sheet reconciliations and responding to audit inquiries.
- Significant involvement in working with the Accounting Team to prepare various components of the annual Agency Budget.
- Use of various internal and external system applications to perform responsibilities.
- Additional financial and accounting responsibilities, as determined by the Chief Financial Officer, may include various reporting deliverables and other special projects.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of detailed accounting, budgeting, and payroll experience in a dynamic environment is required.
- Strong Excel skills are required.
- ERP system experience is a plus.
This role operates in a professional office environment. The employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear, and frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
CompensationThe hiring rate for this position is $32.00 per hour.
