Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our wastewater treatment facilities and collection system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of laboratory analysts, maintenance personnel, and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the wastewater treatment facilities and collection system.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities and equipment to identify and address any potential issues or concerns.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the wastewater treatment process.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Working Conditions

This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to our drug testing policy. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and may be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.
