Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Subspecialty Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement medical and nursing plans of care for acute management of ENT, Urology, and Plastic Surgery patients.
  • Assist with evaluation and triage of emergency room patients.
  • Perform procedures such as cystoscopy or suturing as indicated and under the direction of collaborating physicians.
  • Provide direct clinical services for ENT, Urology, and Plastic Surgery patients according to established protocols, using evidence-based practice and clinical practice standards.
  • Order appropriate diagnostic and laboratory data under the direction of the supervising physician and communicate results to physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Evaluate and document patient outcomes and revise the plan under the direction of collaborating physicians in association with other specialty consultants.
  • Help facilitate discharge planning along with patients, families, other members of the healthcare team, and referral agencies.
Requirements
  • NP Education: Master's Degree in clinical nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with emphasis on area of certification/licensure.
  • NP Licensure: Current Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Michigan.
  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the appropriate certifying board.
  • PA Education: Requires graduation from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
  • PA Licensure: Current License/Certification as Physician Assistant with the State of Michigan.
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS certification Required.

  • Two to three years related experience.
