Roessel Joy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for assisting with general ledger accounting, balance sheet preparation, accounts payable, and month-end close. We are looking for a candidate with relevant industry experience and proficiency in Sage or similar ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Perform journal entries and maintain the integrity of financial data, applying accrual accounting principles to financial transactions.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems, including QuickBooks and PeopleSoft, to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and utilize LIHTC knowledge for tax credit projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial information accurately.
