Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at BLANKSLATE Partners. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, as well as providing support for cross-border accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements in compliance with US and Canadian GAAP.
- Reconcile cross-border transactions, including currency conversion, tax implications, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and insights to support financial planning.
- Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
- 3 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience, preferably in public accounting and/or the manufacturing industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with cross-border accounting, including knowledge of currency conversion, tax implications, and intercompany transactions a plus.
- A self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of excelling in a fast-paced, high-energy, and rapidly growing organization.
- Attention to detail, proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) with emphasis on Excel as it is used heavily in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in cost accounting, project accounting, project analysis, and capital expenditure analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex financial data.
We offer a competitive salary range, options, and bonus and benefits packages. The base salary will be in the $60-80K range with a competitive total rewards package. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, sick days, and paid time off.
