About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Coordinator Specialist to join our team at South Central Los Angeles Regional Center. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, including residential and non-residential service providers, to ensure high-quality services for our clients.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to vendors throughout the vendorization process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including developing RFP documents and evaluating proposals from potential vendors.
  • Serve as a member of the Community Placement Plan (CPP) review committee, providing recommendations to leadership on CPP proposals.
  • Collaborate with vendors to develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of our clients, including those with underserved or disparity populations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reimbursement paperwork for clients receiving internships.
  • Participate in quarterly Southern California Quality Improvement Work Group Meetings and other interagency meetings to stay informed on best practices and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field, with one to two years of experience in developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Three years of experience working as a Service Coordinator, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with ability to learn new software applications quickly.
