Client Service Specialist for Homeless Support

OverviewThe Client Service Specialist for Homeless Support will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure the successful transition of clients into permanent housing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct eligibility screenings and service coordination to facilitate client placement into permanent housing.
- Provide weekly to monthly follow-ups with clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with project staff and partners to provide housing placement services and supportive services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in client files, adhering to HIPAA and other funding requirements.
- Participate in case conference meetings, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance client outcomes.
Requirements:
- An associate degree in social services or a related field is required, along with a minimum of one to two years of job-related experience working with homeless individuals and families.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database programs is essential.
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with diverse populations.
- Verification of Employment Eligibility and Background Clearance is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
Work Environment:This position involves working in various settings, including client-friendly environments and shelters. Local automobile travel is necessary, and some flexibility to work in noisy environments is required.
Compensation:This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering a salary range of $25.50 - $26.50 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include opportunities for professional growth, a supportive team environment, and a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
