About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a critical role in providing counseling services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients, providing individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with clients to set and achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Current licensure as a LCSW-C or LCPC in the State of Maryland.
  • At least two years of experience in outpatient counseling, preferably with a focus on mental health and substance use disorders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including those with complex mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, such as CBT and motivational interviewing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
