We are seeking a skilled Quality Improvement Registered Nurse to play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing healthcare quality initiatives through data analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a minimum of two years of experience in quality enhancement efforts, or one year as a registered nurse, or two years in healthcare data analytics.

This position is centered around ensuring patient safety, assessing quality enhancements, and optimizing hospital operations.

The selected individual will uphold the Code of Conduct and compliance standards, proactively addressing compliance inquiries and reporting any suspected violations. Responsibilities include participating in regulatory surveys and assisting in the oversight of action items as needed. The role involves coordinating educational activities related to Joint Commission (TJC) readiness, aiding in the TJC Periodic Performance Review (PPR), and supporting the disease-specific certification process by providing structure and guidance to organizational stakeholders.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining and updating accreditation survey documentation.
  • Coordinating facility-wide TJC tracers and managing follow-up requests.
  • Facilitating meetings and projects that support TJC, CDPH, CMS, and other regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Researching best practices and sharing findings with clinical performance improvement teams.
  • Analyzing and presenting hospital outcome data using statistical methods.
  • Preparing reports that illustrate quality metrics, data, and actionable recommendations.
  • Implementing tracking systems to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Providing education on process-outcome data and supporting Root Cause Analysis initiatives.
  • Documenting and distributing conclusions and recommendations from Root Cause Analysis meetings.
  • Assisting with Quality Council agendas, minutes, and related reports for medical committees.
  • Acting as a quality improvement leader and resource for hospital staff regarding TJC, CMS, and Title 22 standards.
