Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of desktop computing architecture for user devices, system configuration, testing, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Hardware Engineering Support: Provide expert analysis and support for desktop computing architecture, including preventative and maintenance tasks, deploying and installing hardware, and analyzing ticketing trends to propose solutions.
  • Collaboration and Planning: Work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to prepare hardware specifications based on system requirements and mentor junior engineers.
  • Technical Documentation and Testing: Prepare engineering plans, technical design packages, functional and performance test plans, site installation, and test reports based on document requirements.
  • Configuration and Problem Solving: Develop standardized configurations and field troubleshooting methods for end-user computing devices and peripheral equipment.
  • Management and Leadership: Assist in preparing status reports, organize desktop engineering efforts, provide leadership to junior engineers and systems administrators, and occasionally act as the End User Services Manager.
  • Innovation and Service Improvement: Develop technology insertion plans to introduce new technologies and coordinate service improvement activities across people, processes, and technologies.

This role requires a proactive approach to hardware maintenance, a strategic mindset for planning and implementation, and a leadership role in mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
