Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and be licensed accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate residents to determine need for Speech, Language or Swallowing Therapy
  • Establish an individualized treatment program with consultation to facility staff in areas of Speech Therapy
  • Provide results of the evaluation and treatment objectives to caregivers, family members, and residents
  • Implement the treatment program based on evaluative results
  • Monitor the residents response to treatment and alter the treatment plan as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required
