Job Summary:

Haywood County Schools is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders. This is a 10-month position that requires a Bachelor Degree in Education and appropriate Tennessee certification license. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated organizational skills, effective decision-making, and verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, screen, and evaluate students to identify speech and language disorders.
Develop and implement individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Speech/Language impairment.
Provide consultative services for school staff to facilitate relevant and consistent interventions for targeted students.
Maintain records and information concerning individual students in a confidential manner.
Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services related to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language.
Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community to foster individual student success and growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Education.
Appropriate Tennessee certification license.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Effective decision-making and verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a 10-month position that requires regular attendance and adherence to regular work hours specified under the contract. The successful candidate will be required to implement and comply with District policies and procedures.
