UCHealth is seeking an Ophthalmic Care Specialist to join our team at the UCHlth Eye Center AMC in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our eye care team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of improving lives.

Compensation

">

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.80 - $29.64 per hour, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive total rewards package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 403(b) with employer matching contributions, paid time off, paid family and medical leave, and more.

About the Job

">

In this role, you will assist eye care providers in the care of patients and flow of clinical activities. This includes performing basic ophthalmic testing procedures, diagnostic testing, administering medications, and tasks delegated by the eye care provider. You will also be responsible for documenting patient information, educating patients, and entering charges.

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must have a High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years' sponsored on-the-job ophthalmic training or ophthalmic internship. Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification is also required.
