Key Responsibilities
  • Assist practitioners in the performance of procedures, including telephone prescription orders and refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results.
  • Act as a lead/resource for back office staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, using strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and clinic operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS required.
  • Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program required.
  • Two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Experience or training with phone systems, fax machines, and copy machines required.
  • Experience or training with clinic computer software programs required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain accurate records and reports.
