Developmental Support Professional Lead

Job Summary
The Direct Service Professional - Lead Staff reports to the Program Director and is responsible for providing direct care services to residents of our program. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care services to residents of our program
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress and data collection
- Transport patients to medical appointments and laboratories
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Title 17 and Title 22 Regulations
- Lead and mentor DSPs on your shift
- Conduct daily living skills sessions and re-socialization activity groups
- Administer resident medication
- Attend staff meetings and job-related conferences
- Participate in individual and group treatment programs for residents
- Motivate residents to develop self-reliance in daily living
- Observe patient behavior and report significant changes to the Program Director
Qualifications:
- High School diploma plus 18 college units in social service, healthcare, education, or similar field
- One year prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 60 days of hire, or licensed psychiatric technician, or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (QBMP) status
