Ambulatory Imaging Role for Diagnostic Sonographer



This position within the Duke Health organization is a key member of the Ambulatory Imaging team, focusing on Diagnostic Sonography. The role is located in Chapel Hill, NC, and is a full-time position. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of Sonography procedures.



Key responsibilities include demonstrating proficiency in performing sonogram imaging assessment and diagnostic procedures per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards. You will also use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images.



Additionally, you will analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the Radiologist. Maintaining adequate supplies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and addressing patient concerns are also essential aspects of this role.



The ideal candidate will have a graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification. ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire and BLS certification are also required.



Estimated Annual Salary: $72,000 - $100,000



The location of this position is in the Ambulatory Imaging division within Arrringdon, Holly Springs, and Coley Hall divisions. The role offers career growth and enrichment within Radiology Services, with a clinical ladder program and opportunities within the health system.
