Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Acquire patient histories, verify patient identification, and document medical records.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to quality control and radiation protection standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear instructions and procedural information.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the department, assisting colleagues and staying up-to-date with quality assurance and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
