Job Overview

Position: Preschool Long-Term Substitute Educator

Reports To: Principal of Armleder Building

Status: Full-Time, Hourly

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 7:10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preschool classroom, executing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and managing administrative tasks while ensuring effective communication with parents and stakeholders.
  • Supervise both large and small groups of children, fostering a nurturing learning environment.
  • Facilitate the Christian Studies curriculum, guiding young children in their spiritual development.
  • Maintain a positive, Christ-centered atmosphere in the Reggio Inspired classroom, ensuring it remains tidy, organized, and conducive to learning.
  • Engage with small groups of children to enhance their educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Early Childhood Education or a teaching degree in Elementary Education with valid State of Ohio certification.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Leader in Me - 7 Habits framework.
  • Knowledge of Responsive Classroom techniques.
  • Must be a committed Christian, comfortable within a diverse Christian community.
  • Required to obtain a State of Ohio Educational Substitute Teacher Permit if not holding an ODE teaching certification.
