What We're Looking For:

The Executive Accounting Leader - Strategic Financial Planning role is a high-level position that requires a proactive leader to oversee the daily operation of the accounting department. Key responsibilities include journal entries, capital expenditure reporting, fixed assets management and reconciliation, general ledger account reconciliation, preparation, and review, SOX and company compliance, and financial reporting management. This role involves strategic financial planning, managing a team of accounting professionals, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the accounting department.
  • Supervise and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the development, monitoring, and analysis of budgets.
  • Contribute to financial forecasting and strategic planning processes.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and provide necessary documentation during audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic financial goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and planning.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
What You'll Need:
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
What We Offer:

At Mohawk Industries, Inc., we offer a competitive salary range of $118,000 - $158,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and the level of responsibility associated with this role. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

What Else:

Occasional travel may be required for this role. This employee will be responsible for direct reports and will work closely with senior management to drive business growth and excellence.
