What we're looking for:

The Director Accounting Processes & Systems is a high-level leader that proactively oversees the systems and processes of the accounting department. This position is responsible for the daily management of the currently used accounting systems (BlackLine, SmartClose & Reporting Tools) and maintenance of the accounting reports. The Director requires a good understanding of all accounting processes to identify opportunities in automation or different reporting tool/system use. This role involves strategic planning, managing a team of accounting professionals, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

What you'll do:

• Provide strategic leadership to the Accounting Processes & Systems team.
• Supervise and manage a team of accounting professionals and analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Hold knowledge of our current SAP ERP system (S4Hana Finance), Accounting systems (BlackLine, SmartClose, CoStar, ...) and Reporting Tools (Excel, Power-BI, SAC, SSAS, AO,...)
• Support and train the accounting teams on systems and reporting tools.
• Support and coordinate with the Flooring North America & Mohawk Corporate IS teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department with a focus on automation.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of strategic financial goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and planning.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and provide necessary documentation during audits.
• Perform other duties as needed.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 10+ years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• MBA preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.

• Occasional travel may be required.
• This employee will be responsible for direct reports.
