Job Summary:

In collaboration with the Controller, you will establish and maintain an accounting framework that accurately reflects the financial status of the institution, ensuring comprehensive financial consolidation across all entities. You will also assist in the preparation of necessary reports for regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine the general ledger, analyze financial accounts, and prepare journal entries. Support the closing process and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate corporate accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, while reviewing revenue reports and reconciling variances.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance accounting procedures within the institution.
  • Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate reconciliations for all general ledger accounts.
  • Document all transactions and adjustments in the general ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and coordinate external audits.
  • Monitor cost control activities and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles in all financial procedures.
  • Participate in the development of policies to safeguard the institution's assets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Administration; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in banking or financial management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of financial institution policies and procedures.
