Job Title: Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Envision Cinemas. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team under the supervision of the General Manager.
  • Enforce cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee hourly staff and provide leadership to management staff under the direction of the General Manager.
  • Ensure staffing levels and management coverage meet business needs and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate repairs and maintenance on building, property, and equipment according to company policy.
  • Select and develop Assistant Managers and Trainers for more responsibility or internal promotion.
  • Ensure execution of employee recognition and incentive programs.
  • Promote positive employee relations, effective delegation, and high staff morale.
  • Optimize financial results by driving sales and controlling costs.
  • Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to grow revenue and control expenses.
  • Maintain systems for fiscal responsibility, inventory, and other key areas.
  • Responsible for all aspects of theatre, food, beverage, equipment, and property operations to meet financial goals and company initiatives.
  • Consistently meet guest experience standards.
  • Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through exceptional food, drinks, and movies in a unique environment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Continuously improve operation execution through attention to detail and adherence to operating standards and philosophies.
Requirements:
  • Previous AGM or Senior Management experience for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Previous experience in theatre or restaurant management.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Available to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Serve Safe Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while delivering exceptional results.
