Overview:
$18.56 / hour The Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the daily functions of the food and beverage area, which includes training, guiding, motivating, assessing, and disciplining team members.

This role requires maintaining optimal food costs and labor levels by consistently reviewing and adapting to operational demands, conducting regular inventory checks, and ensuring proper stock levels. Cleanliness and organization are paramount.

Occasionally, you will prepare and serve food and beverages to guests, as well as handle cash transactions while ensuring a high standard of service in a safe and clean environment.


Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with grooming standards.
Complete various administrative tasks and track attendance.

Engage with team members and guests in a friendly, adaptable, and professional manner; address inquiries, guarantee service quality, and resolve any issues; oversee the setup, cleanup, and some food preparation for the entire operation.

Occasionally process payments and provide change for food and beverage purchases using a cash register.
Adhere to and enforce health and safety regulations. Evaluate the performance of team members for effectiveness, provide constructive feedback, and utilize active training methods to foster engagement, assess understanding, and manage distractions or challenges.

Familiarize yourself with the complete menu and beverage offerings, including portions, garnishes, and pricing; expertly suggest and promote items.

Acquire, comprehend, and demonstrate proficiency in operational tasks, service flow, equipment maintenance, and menu items specific to the location.

Utilize clear and effective communication between management and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
Work closely with kitchen staff to address product shortages and fulfill special requests from guests.

Collaborate with Area Supervisors to ensure staffing requirements for the assigned location are met while adhering to labor regulations.

Manage cash handling procedures in the stand and coordinate with Loss Prevention to maintain accurate cash records and minimize discrepancies.

Deliver guest service in accordance with Cedar Fair standards while interacting with guests or supervising team members, including initiating conversations, answering questions, and providing directions.

Maintain cleanliness and safety in your designated work area by performing tasks such as mopping floors, wiping surfaces, sweeping, disposing of trash, and completing other general cleaning duties; execute all responsibilities in line with Cedar Fair safety protocols and report any unsafe or unusual conditions to management.

Meet Cedar Fair's attendance expectations as outlined in the company's policies.

Comply with Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct, including specific grooming and costuming standards as detailed in the Associate Guidelines and other relevant policies and procedures.

Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Completion of Basic Food Safety & Sanitation Training, ServSafe Training, and ServSafe Alcohol certification is mandatory, which may include verbal, written, and/or practical assessments.
Ability to adhere to all company, divisional, and state regulations regarding minor labor laws.
Demonstrated knowledge of park operations and procedures, particularly within the Food & Beverage Division.
Previous experience in Food & Beverage is preferred.
Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, guests, and management in a constructive and professional manner.
Employ strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to remain calm, composed, and alert in challenging situations.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Complete daily responsibilities without constant oversight.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet operational demands.
Pass a mandatory (or random) drug screening in accordance with company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

Pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, in accordance with company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
