Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Seagull Scientific. As an AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate collections while maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and post daily cash receipts accurately and on time.
  • Ensure the timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, responding to AR inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Order Administration teams to address and resolve customer issues.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed AR aging reports, documenting all collection efforts.
  • Evaluate accounts and recommend write-offs when necessary.
  • Perform bank reconciliations accurately and timely.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience in a corporate or similar environment.
  • Strong proficiency in organizing files and documentation, adhering to company accounting policies and practices.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Business with an emphasis on Accounting, or equivalent experience.
What We Offer:
  • Compensation for this full-time job is between $26.92 – $29.33 per hour, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus.
