Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Sourcing team in North America. This role will focus on raw materials sourcing and will work closely with Product Line Managers and other areas to develop and execute sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to sourcing activities for raw materials supplied to Kemira's plants.
  • Responsible for developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategies at the regional level, focusing on direct categories in North America.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on managing raw materials spend categories in close cooperation with Product Line Managers and other areas.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage their performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably with sourcing experience in raw materials categories for chemical companies or sufficient experience in other industries.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to understand and define critical issues and develop methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data.
  • Strong supplier and internal stakeholder management skills.
  • Sense of urgency and proactive hands-on attitude, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously within tight timeframes.
  • Experience with negotiating legal and commercial agreements, terms, and conditions.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly with suppliers, business stakeholders, and relevant internal functions.
  • Capability and willingness to operate in an ever-changing environment and move towards set goals.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office, SAP, and eSourcing tools.
  • Language skills: English.
