Portfolio Valuation Expert

Kroll's Portfolio Valuation practice is a leading provider of valuation advisory services to the alternative investment industry. We serve our clients through our global platform, specializing in valuing illiquid and difficult-to-value investments. Our team covers the full breadth of alternative asset strategies, including private equity, hedge, credit, venture capital, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing analyses.
  • Perform valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments, using accepted and relevant approaches and theory.
  • Interview clients to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Communicate potential engagements to management and write engagement letters.
  • Present analyses and conclusions verbally and in written reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or MBA.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with managing engagement teams and knowledge of software packages, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of market data sources, including Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ.
