Job Summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing
  • Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification and integrity
  • Enter and verify patient demographics, location, and test information
  • Aliquot and label specimens according to established procedures
  • Deliver specimens to the technical area in a timely manner
  • Assist in monitoring workflow and training of new employees
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
  • Basic knowledge of department resource materials
  • Ability to perform detailed work and work with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
Work Environment

This position may be located within a Hospital Facility, Patient Service Center (PSC), In Office Phlebotomy (IOP) or Mobile Diagnostic Services (MDS). The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
