Job Summary

The J.R. Simplot Company is a leading global food and agriculture company seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomy Sales Professional to join our team. As an Agronomy Sales Professional, you will provide support and learn from our team of Agronomy Sales Enablement Advisors in one of three business units across the U.S. Your primary responsibility will be to aid the Agronomy Sales Enablement team in their efforts to provide agronomic knowledge, problem-solving, and training to our crop advisors and growers.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Agronomy Sales Enablement members to manage, coordinate, and implement commercial demonstrations
Collect data from MAP program plots and utilize photography to develop a library of visual observations
Document product performance via data collection from MAP program plots and help identify and solve agronomic issues for crop advisors and growers
Attend and participate in regional field days and/or training events
Assist in PEAK Program training and coordinate with ASE personnel within the business unit and track progress weekly
Act as Project leader for a development product to report on at intern termination

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Science, or other related major
Agriculture background a plus, but not required
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Highly motivated and detail-oriented
Experienced with computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
Effective communicator
Valid Driver's License

Other Information

Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours: early days/late evening, overtime, and weekends as seasonal needs demand
Comfortable with frequent travel, including extended periods spent driving and covering long distances on a regular basis

Duration

Spring/Summer 2025, possibility of extending into the Fall
