Position Overview:

Support the Principal in managing daily administrative functions, oversee all enrollment processes, PEIMS reporting, and attendance matters, and provide administrative assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical institution; or three to six months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
  • Capable of learning specialized software such as Applidesk
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, students, and parents
  • Ability to organize and accurately process claims for meal programs
  • Prior experience in a school office setting is advantageous but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist families in completing enrollment documentation and ensure that cumulative record folders are maintained according to state and institutional standards
  • Maintain professional communication with parents and central administration through various channels
  • Prepare and send reports to central administration as required
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of timesheets
  • Collect and forward new hire documentation and insurance enrollment forms
  • Compile and submit curriculum orders for approval
  • Prepare purchase orders for necessary supplies
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records and submit these to the PEIMS coordinator
  • Ensure timely processing of enrollment forms for the PEIMS coordinator
  • Monitor and document student withdrawals and ensure proper coding
  • Welcome visitors to the school, ascertain their purpose, and direct them accordingly
  • Assist students facing challenges by resolving issues or referring them to appropriate staff
  • Compile academic transcripts for students

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with and adherence to the Procedures Manual, Employee Handbook, Student Handbook, and Student Code of Conduct
